…time for school. Let’s do some school notes:
- If homeschooling is something you do or think about – here’s a link to some of my more substantive articles on homeschooling. The one on being an INFP homeschooling parent has gotten quite a few hits over the past week. All I can say is: Find your Me-Time and guard it with wolves.
Just remember – no matter where your kid is in school – at home, private, public – no choice you make is carved in stone. It might be tremendously difficult to change for a lot of reasons, and might require all sorts of sacrifices, and any change should be given deep, careful consideration and not made in haste – but no. Just because you’ve enrolled junior in Our Lady of Holy Blue Ribbon Achievement for Kindergarten – it doesn’t mean he has to stay there through 8th grade, or even through October. If it’s awful and wrong and there’s something in you that’s wondering – Should five -year olds really be having an hour of homework every day? – get out and do something else.
- If school and tech is something you’re interested in, here are some blog posts I’ve written on that score. More to come, because I Have Views.
- I have resources, many resources, that you might find valuable as a parent, teacher or student:
The Prove It Books – Youth Apologetics
The Words We Pray – for adult discussion groups
A 2020 Devotional for parish and school staff.
Some of these are available through my bookstore.
