Even if you don’t have personal children or grandchildren of your own, perhaps you’d consider gifting your local Catholic school or parish with a copy or two of this or other books?
This weekend, I returned to Stella Maris church on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina – even though I am frequent visitor to the area, I hadn’t been here for several years – not since 2014, which occasioned this post on ad orientem.
Report? Nothing’s changed – nothing really could, considering the size of the sanctuary. And again – full church, nicely done music, straightforward, prayerful liturgy, and if anyone felt excluded and offended by the priest praying in the same direction as they were – well, I couldn’t tell.



Catafalque was in memory of victims of 9/11 – on top there were personal mementos and photos, I am assuming of victims related to people in the parish.
