Well, hey there. A fairly busy week last week:
I went back and forth to Louisville last Monday and Tuesday to pay a Christmas visit to my daughter and son-in-law. (Her Etsy shop, his music site – and he, amazingly, had an actual live gig this past weekend – so perhaps things are looking up?). Then NYC Son came in on Wednesday and stayed until Saturday. He flew into BHM, but out of Atlanta, so Saturday morning was me driving back and forth there to drop him off(His company’s site). We had seen the Charleston folks early in the month. (His writing site and…specifically..he didn’t think much of WW84, did he now? ).

Lots of cooking – nothing too different or noteworthy. Comfort food is most appreciated during times like this, not so much innovation, right?
Oh, I did dry brine the turkey and cooked it breast-side down. Turned out great. Incredibly flavorful and moist.
Organist Son played…several Masses last week. Let’s see…one on the 4th Sunday of Advent, 3 over Christmas Eve/Day, then one on Holy Family, with two Mary, Mother of God and a funeral coming up this week.
College Son took the week off cashiering, but is back at it this week, earning money to spend, God willing, in Italy, beginning in February.
(At this point, you can still go over for work, education and family. His will be the reason in the middle.)
Anyway – just a couple of other notes:
- I’m in Living Faith today. Written back in early April, when “two weeks to flatten the curve” was still all most of us thought was going on…..
- Pulled out a novel I started a few months ago, and am getting ruhl serious now.
Anyway. Today – St. Thomas Becket:
He’s in the Loyola Kids Book of Saints in the section “Saints are people who tell the truth.”

Here’s the last page of the entry, so you have a sense of the content.
