I don’t know if there was a plan, but this is how it has turned out.
On Wednesday nights, the Cathedral is busy. Choirs practice, RCIA meets, a growing men and boys group gathers and now, once a month, there’s a confraternity of Catholic moms.
And when everyone is done, Compline is prayed.
As I said, I don’t know if there was a plan about this, but it strikes me as lovely, sensible and so very Catholic. Right here at our fingertips, no Fabulous! Parish! workshops required.
What about it? At your parish, perhaps the groups meet, scattered about the buildings, all at the same time. And when they are finished, those who can, come to the church or chapel and pray Night Prayer together.
(This is two of the groups. The FraternusFraternus group’s activities ran over and they ended up praying Compline on their own. But come back in a couple of weeks, and I’ll be sure to get another , better video with them included. The addition of almost a hundred male voices is…enriching to this sound.)
