Yes, we are here. My internet went out last night – it said, as far as I could tell, that the limits for use had been reached, but apparently the owner re-upped and we are back online this morning.
Yesterday morning, we took the bus from our apartment to the Ferrara train station, the train to Bologna, and the fast train to Rome, with a brief stop in Florence. Taxi to the apartment, settled in by a bit after 2.
We then set into wander – and to find a Gamestop so we could get a 3DS charger – his charger for some reason is not working with the adapters, so we just got a European plug charger. So if anyone needs one for a future trip…
Anyway, we took the train from Quattro Venti up to the Vatican, walked through there, over through Borgo Pio, then across the river down to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon…which was all I could handle. I realized a couple of weeks ago that I have never been to Rome in high tourist season, but only in February/March (once) and November (twice). This is…different. There are always a lot of people in Rome, but this is insane and the trash situation is terrible. Just terrible. (photo from Snapchat – amywelborn2 for the follow) Then back across the river, behind Castel San’Angelo this time, and to the Gamestop, where the charger was found, and back to the apartment, me to the grocery store, where I bought breaded chicken cutlets, ravioli and some other stuff, came home and cooked it…and we talked about what to do the rest of the week….
Our neighborhood is great, though! No time to upload pics right now.
More tonight. Just about to head out on an adventure. Follow it on Instagram and Snapchat (amywelborn2)
