Our cathedral is having Vespers on Sunday evenings during Advent. Chanted (in English), simple, effective. Every Sunday at 5, preceded by an organ recital at 4:15.
This evening, we celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at a local parish.
What are we doing for Advent? Mostly trying to allowing our listening, waiting hearts to be opened to Christ by the Spirit through the Church.

Super busy. Thank goodness that we don’t have homework waiting at the end of our days. Seriously. Homework is awful. Worse than doing the teaching myself.
No awesome science projects this week. We did start this art project, though. Oddly enough, I find myself stalled right before the “spatter white paint” part. Can’t imagine why.
A conversation with a 9-year old one evening this week, right before lights out:
“Wait. Do we still have bacon?”
“Yes. Yes, we do.”
