Oh my … ! Ha! Well, at least they’re asking how long it is, instead of showing up and being angrily surprised! :)
What I’d like to know is: if I attend the Easter Vigil, how many minutes can I expect to be in church?
No, really, I love the Easter Vigil, and have attended nearly every year since my husband’s conversion 20 years ago. I have yet to find a service that included all 9 readings. The church we attended last year only proclaimed 2 of the Old Testament readings. I’m hopeful that this year’s full Gregorian service (in Palo Alto CA) will have the whole shooting match.
I had a similar experience about 40 days ago when I titled a post “Ashes at Starbucks”!
At the Easter Vigil last night, an older gentleman sitting near me had a “talking” wristwatch, so I had duration updates about every 20 minutes or so. “It is now 10:35 p.m.” etc.
