(and some of you have emailed to ask)
…we are fine. We haven’t even been in Alabama since Sunday. I do know that my house is fine - some houses in the neighborhood sustained tree/wind damage but the tornado itself did not come nearby.
Where it did, however…

Amy,
You were one of the first people I thought of yesterday and today, and I am so glad to get online and see this news! I had hoped to email you but have been unable to get to personal emails due to work. I’m praying for the SO MANY PEOPLE affected by these storms…
Lord have mercy, glad your house is undamaged and that you and kids are fine!
When the boys are a bit older, they will love digging a tornado cellar. I know that your answer last time was that you have a good old fashioned basement but a cellar seems better off away from the house. In any event, maybe have a mason make a cinder block tiny room in the corner of your basement so that things down there are even safer. He should use cement adhesive between the floor and the cement and between all cement and cinder block….tell him God is watching. I felt Birmingham was safe. Alright….i have to get back to the British wedding….6:57 AM…New York harbor.
Our prayers are with you and all those who suffered this terrible disaster.
Andie
Glad you’re safe! I heard reports from several FB friends: “Sirens going off. We’re heading to the basement now….” (Hey folks, we need updates!)
I assume no news is good news, and the EWTN facilities are fine, too.
Thank God you are fine! SO, so sad about the great devastation and loss of life!
Lord, Have mercy!
