…Mr. Sammons…I guess I should blog more to deserve my spot?
Long time readers know that when I am scarcely blogging there’s usually one of two reasons:
1) I am finishing a project and am up against a wall, with not even a moment of procrastination time remaining
or
2) I’m planning a trip and cannot get my nose out of guidebooks and SlowTravel long enough to pay you all any mind.
or
3) Both of the above. More on both eventually. (Hint on #2: Thank you Iberia which ran an insane – probably erroneous – sale on a few destinations from NYC right before Christmas. I grabbed first, willing to think about details later, since my travel philosophy is now, “Go where the cheap fares take you.” )
The other blogging deterrent (besides the holidays and buying a new-to-me car right after Christmas because the transmission in the Montego said 130K miles was enough for it) has been that I’m leading a retreat day somewhere in Mississippi on Saturday and have been preparing for that as well.
I’ve been reading some interesting books lately, and I hope to be able to get enough breathing room to start blogging about them next week. I am on Twitter (see sidebar) and post links and sometimes smart-aleck remarks there. So check that out.
