Kitschen Decor

February 17, 2010 by Amy Welborn

I am telling you the total, absolute truth when I tell you that this was the first thing I ever purchased on Ebay.

Not lying.  And to tell you the truth (again) this amazing citrusy-piggy was crucial in revealing to me the wonders of the aborning-Internet-Age. (It was about 12 years ago, I’d guess.)

If I could click a few buttons, find this and buy this…what else awaited? It was surely to be awesome.

Not that I’ve been a mad Ebayer or even Internet shopper since that day..what…12 years ago? In fact, at this point, I don’t think I’ve purchased anything on Ebay for a few years now – not since the last lot of “Boys size 2 PJ’s.”

But I do love this pig. Madly. He’s been in storage for a year and a half, and I just last week found his box, dusted him off, and gave him a new home:

I think he likes it.

I do.

Did you get the awesome blue shelves on eBay as well? That’s the best piece of furniture I’ve seen in a while.

Thanks! No – I violated my “only buy used furniture” rule with this one – got it at Nadeau – which has surprisingly good prices on some nice, solid pieces. It’s sort of a warehouse setup of pieces made mostly in India, I think. They get shipments into the store about twice a month, set the new stuff in the parking lot, and people just swarm
